VICKI & PHIL’S REDWORTH HALL WEDDING — INTIMATE, ELEGANT & SPARKLING
Vicki & Phil’s wedding party at Redworth Hall was such a joy to capture. It was one of those days that felt intimate and relaxed, yet still so full of fun and love — the perfect combination if you ask me!
The day started, as all the best wedding days do, with a trip to Starbucks for my signature iced mocha. It’s my little ritual to get into the creative zone, and it never fails to set the mood for a great day ahead.
Redworth Hall is truly a North East gem. This 17th-century Jacobean manor is packed with character and history — from its grand stone façade to the beautiful gardens and elegant interiors. It’s a venue that feels both grand and welcoming, and the staff there are absolutely wonderful (and yes, the food is as good as they say — even better when enjoyed after a full day of shooting!). Shoutout to Airborne Moments for his amazing work in videography!
Vicki & Phil’s day was all about genuine connections, quiet joyful moments, and those bursts of fun that make weddings unforgettable. One of my absolute favourite parts of the evening was the sparkler exit. There’s something magical about sparklers — they light up the night, they make everyone smile, and they create the most cinematic, editorial-worthy images.
On a technical note, sparkler shots require a bit of finesse: balancing a slightly longer shutter speed to capture the light trails, while keeping the couple crisp and sharp. It’s all about timing, guiding everyone into place, and capturing that perfect split second when the sparks and smiles are at their brightest.
These are the kinds of images that feel timeless, full of movement and emotion — and Vicki & Phil’s sparkler moment was no exception.
Thank you, Vicki & Phil, for trusting me to document your beautiful celebration. Your day at Redworth Hall was a perfect reminder that a wedding doesn’t have to be loud to be deeply meaningful.
